Being the home of gwala or “cowherds”, both Mathura and Vrindavan offer milk in itspurest form. From times immemorial, the twin cities have attended fame for the bestmilk products. While in Mathura, no visitor goes back without a packet of deliciousmelt –in-mouth sweets like peda and Khurchan. Chaat, dahi bhalla, sweetened milkin kulhar (clay pots) or milk badam and thandai can be found here. Vrindavan is aperfect place for pure vegetarians; the satwik food served here in various Bhojnalayais strictly vegan. They also refrain from using onion and garlic. The Jaljeera (cuminwater) and lassi (butter milk) are a speciality here.
